It's time for this famous bear franchise to take a threequel. So, the second movie was so successful that it even got a step further this year? Well, this is how Paddington in Peru, the third Paddington movie, came into play. The budget took a step up, using $75-90 million in total, but it became a commercial success with $209.5 million grossed worldwide. As expected, critic and audience reviews are positive for its sweet humor, creative visuals, and fun story, to the point where a fourth movie is currently in development. As another smashing comeback of the bear, Paddington in Peru succeeds with a family-friendly adventure to El Dorado.

Reasons
From the movie, the freshest oranges of Paddington in Peru are the lovely story, family-friendly execution, and touching messages. Yes, Paddington 2 was so successful that this movie had to take the bear to the next level. Instead of another gift, the titular bear finds Aunt Lucy after she has been kidnapped. It even has some twists that are enough for kids to get surprised. Also, the execution makes for an all-ages movie. While it does have more action and excitement, it still has the Paddington charm. In a way, it still works as a passport trip to Peru. To top the three all off, it even has two main messages. It mainly tells us that family is about love and support, not about blood and relation. In the climax, it also says that family matters more than treasure, as you can tell from the human character arcs.
More trinkets we can find from Paddington in Peru are the interesting characters, engaging visuals, and beautiful setting. All of the characters were funny and likable, especially Paddington, who is back with his polite demeanor. The others, including the Reverend Mother, were also interesting, especially for the fact that they got more time to focus on some of the new human characters. As part of the series, the visuals were top-notch. This movie is back with personifying not only objects, but also the thoughts. Now, it is a holiday adventure disguised as a storybook. Finally, the setting of Peru is breathtaking. Thanks to being under Sony Pictures, the budget was set somewhat higher for a look at lush jungles and retirement homes. The icing is that the movie was actually shot in Peru to help with the tight budget.
As of now, Paddington in Peru is a movie of the year so far, but the villain twist is the only problem. We are all for villain twists, but it has one scene that turns down the excitement. Just remove that scene, and then this film is all good.
Conclusion
To conclude, Paddington in Peru is a wholesome and exciting adventure to El Dorado. Even if we got a holiday trip of a bear with his human family, two adorable messages lay there, too. None of the characters were bad because they were interesting enough for this storybook experience. It's just that the villain twist got ruined with one scene. Overall, though, StudioCanal is this close to making the fourth movie perfect! Just watch this movie. It's on Netflix, and you won't regret anything.
